Frequently Asked Questions. What kind of concessions/hydration will be available during the workshop? There will be free coolers of ice water provided during the class sessions. Snacks and other concessions are available at the stores in the surrounding neighborhood. The dancers are welcome to bring their own snacks to have to eat between classes. At the dances, there will be a cash bar in the ballroom that will sell bottles of water and soft drinks. The cash bar will also sell alcoholic beverages to those dancers who are 21 years of age and older. Everyone will need proof of age when they enter the ballroom, if they wish to be able to purchase alcohol. No one will be permitted to bring alcohol from outside the premises into the ballroom or classrooms during the events.

Is there a crash space coordinator? We are arranging for a hosting coordinator. For those who want their own space while attending the Riot, we will also have a recommended list of our favorite Austin hotels. Please check the hotels and maps page for updates about hosting and/or hotels.
Will
the Texas Swing Riot 2001 be organized as in previous years, As in previous years, the Texas Swing Riot 2001 will not be tracked.
If there is no Track System, does it really matter what I say I am on the registration form? Will you have guards to prevent people from hopping out of their experience level? The experience level descriptions on the registration page are important for you to use as your guide to join in the classes which will benefit you the most. There will be some mild policing of individual level assessments in the classes. But this is done solely to make the Riot a great learning experience for everyone. Each of us is better off as a dance student when we take a class where we do not have to struggle mightily just to keep half-way up to the level of the rest of the class. There will be fun classes with all of the teachers at each level.
I don't have an e-mail address and the on-line registration page won't let me register. What should I do? We use e-mail as our primary method of contacting all registrants. There are many free e-mail services available. Signing up for these is easy and fast. Hotmail.com and yahoo.com are the two largest free e-mail providers and can be accessed via the Web.
Will there be aerials classes? Eddie and Eva will teach some aerials class(es) on Sunday. You must have a partner. Eddie and Eva asked that all of the dancers in the aerials class(es) be physically fit.
