Parking Instructions for the Workshop

All events this weekend will be at the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. If you need a map, go to www.mapquest.com and run the address - 2312 San Gabriel Street, Austin, Texas, 78705.

Throughout the weekend, please do not park in the small parking lot that is part of the FED grounds, adjacent to the Ballroom. This has only a limited number of spaces and we will need it for staff, Steven and Virginie, and the bands.

There are two parking lots which will be referred to (FreeWheelin' Bicycles and the University Parking Lot) in the driving directions to each of them are listed below.

FRIDAY, May 16 - Registration begins at 7 pm.

Starting at 7 pm, you can park for free at FREEWHEELIN BICYCLES, located at the corner of 24th Street and San Gabriel. If you park here on Friday night, please do not leave it there overnight. We cannot park there during the day on Saturday.

You can also use the Littlefield Parking Lot and the University Parking Lot.

SATURDAY, May 17 - Doors open at 10 am.

During the Day - Do Not Park at FREEWHEELIN BICYCLES during the day. Your car will be towed.

Park at the University Parking Lot. It has many spaces, and is wide open on Saturday. Classes have not started yet, so there will be very few people parking there.

During the Dance:

Doors open at 845 pm.

Music starts at 9 pm.

Band starts at 930 pm.

After 8 pm, you can park at FREEWHEELIN BICYCLES.

SUNDAY, May 18 - Doors open at 10 am.

You can park on Sunday during the day at FREEWHEELIN BICYCLES. They are closed on Sunday and generously allow us to use their parking lot on Sunday.

THE UNIVERSITY PARKING LOT.

It is located on Seaton and 24 1/2 Street. 3 blocks from the Fed. (50 spaces)

GETTING THERE FROM LAMAR

1. Turn onto 24th Street, towards campus.

2. Turn left onto Seaton (no traffic light - if you get to the Starbucks at San Antonio street you went too far).

3. Turn right into the parking lot (almost immediately). The no parking sign have fine print which says it applies only on Monday to Friday)

4. Walk back to 24th Street, turn right and walk to San Gabriel. The Fed is on the left.

GETTING THERE FROM GUADALUPE

1. Turn onto 24th Street, heading away from campus.

2. Turn right onto Seaton (no traffic light - first street after the light at San Antonio).

3. Turn right into the parking lot (almost immediately). The no parking sign have fine print which says it applies only on Monday to Friday)

4. Walk back to 24th Street, turn right and walk to San Gabriel. The Fed is on the left.
